Tiers and cascading ruffles was a huge trend at the recent 2018 Bridal Fashion Week in New York, and it might be the perfect choice for an outdoor spring or summer wedding–as evidenced by this wedding shoot styled by Joy Proctor. Photographed against the bright blue infinity pool at Malibu Rocky Oaks, this Musat Official Faith dress is not for the timid or shy. The gown’s exquisite hand embroidery leads your eye playfully up and down the bodice leading to a waistline of delicate floral detail. A plunging back side directs you to the dramatic layered train that puddles onto the floor in the most beautiful way imaginable. The main source of inspiration was the amazing haute couture Faith gown, which recently debuted in Musat’s Spring 2018 collection. The gown was accented by a pair of Elise by Joy Proctor for Bella Belle shoes.
Nyrie Aitken pinned the bride’s hair back to show off the dramatic sheer top and opted to keep the makeup fresh with just a pop of pink lip to complement the decadence of the gown. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how it came together, and we hope it will inspire brides to be bold for their spring and summer weddings.
The dinner table was designed and styled by Joy Proctor, with assistant from Camilla Loving. Beautiful mixed arrangements from Plenty of Petals lined the center of the table. Gold flatware, dramatic candlesticks and a dusty purple velvet table linen made for a jaw-dropping setting. The linen fabric place cards had calligraphy by The Written Word and they were accompanied by handmade acorns and salt & pepper holders for each guest. The small touches nearby a place setting can really make your guests feel special.
